Altınay Defense Technologies has officially inaugurated its new production hub in Dilovası, Kocaeli, aiming to significantly contribute to Türkiye’s defense and aerospace industry. The opening ceremony was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, President of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) of the Republic of Türkiye.
A Cutting-Edge Facility Equipped with Advanced Technology
Located in the Dilovası Machinery Specialization Organized Industrial Zone, the Altınay Defense Manufacturing Technologies Center spans 12,500 square meters of enclosed space. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies including multi-axis machining centers, CNC precision machines, laser processing equipment, and a high-speed automated SMT line for electronic board assembly.
The new production hub is designed to support the domestic and national manufacturing of critical defense systems, aiming to reduce foreign dependency. With its advanced infrastructure, the facility also enhances Altınay’s export potential and strengthens its position in global markets.
“We Are Producing Critical Systems Using Local Resources”
In his remarks at the opening, Hakan Altınay, Chairman of Altınay Defense Technologies, emphasized the strategic importance of the facility:
“This new facility takes our vision of developing national technologies even further. With this investment, we now have the capacity to produce critical systems for air platforms using domestic resources. It’s a milestone in Türkiye’s high-tech manufacturing journey.”
A Strategic Investment for the Defense Industry
Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, President of the Defense Industries, stated during the ceremony that Altınay provides end-to-end solutions across various areas of the defense sector, including motion control and weapon systems. He also highlighted the facility’s key role in enhancing Türkiye’s capabilities in precision manufacturing technologies.
Future Vision: New Facilities on the Way
Altınay Defense Technologies has broader plans beyond Kocaeli. The company intends to establish additional production facilities in the Ankara Aerospace and Aviation Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (HAB). Following this $25 million investment, Altınay aims to continue expanding its R&D and manufacturing capabilities, strengthening its position as a key player in Türkiye’s defense sector.
